
Yigal Unna, Founder & CEO, Cygun, israel
Yigal Unna is the former Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD, 2018–2022), with over 36 years of experience in cyber, primarily within national security. He spent 33 years in the Shin Bet (ISA), serving as Head of Cyber Operations (Major General), and later transitioned to the private sector, where he became a leader in industry, consulting, and running projects for governments, sectors, and enterprises. He has also served as president, chairperson, and board member for over a dozen cyber companies and academies.
Since retiring from public office, Unna advises leading and promising Israeli cyber startups and growing enterprises. He is a venture partner in a venture capital firm focused on cybersecurity, consults for global VCs on cyber opportunities, and leads national cyber projects for foreign governments in Asia (with a focus on India), Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
Unna is a member of the Global Cyber Group at the Aspen Institute and serves on the advisory team to the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University, both prestigious US-based research institutes.
