Shira Lev Ami has been the Head of the National Digital Agency since its establishment in April 2022. She is also actively involved in addressing the climate crisis. Prior to this role, she served as IT Director at the Ministry of Health, where she won several awards for excellence in IT management.
Lev Ami has over a decade of experience in senior public administration positions, combining operations, technology, and data to advance national strategies. Her previous roles include serving as a strategic consultant at Shaldor in 2005, working in the Fishman Group’s trading department, and holding positions such as Director of Strategy and Information Systems at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation. She was also Deputy Director General of Information Systems and Digital Health at the Ministry of Health from 2011 to 2018.
In 2018, Lev Ami founded the digital health start-up Sapirniga and later served as VP of Technology and Digital Innovation at the Joint. She also held an external director position at David Shield Insurance from 2019 to 2022.
In addition to her professional career, Lev Ami is deeply committed to volunteer work, including membership in various environmental and social organizations, such as the Environmental Quality Committee of Modi’in City Council and the Israeli Energy Forum Association.
She holds multiple master’s degrees, including in Business Administration, Political Science, and Law, and is currently pursuing two additional master’s degrees in Environmental Regulation and Applied Economics. Lev Ami is married with three children and lives in Modi’in.
