Avner Halperin is an entrepreneur, executive, and researcher specializing in medical technology, innovation policy, and big data economics. He was the founding CEO of EarlySense for 15 years, leading the company from inception to its adoption as a standard of care in U.S. hospitals. Previously, he served as CEO of Emmunet, VP of Marketing at Radcom (NASDAQ: RDCM), and an R&D leader at Eldat Communications (acquired by Pricer [PRIC.ST]). Earlier in his career, he headed an R&D unit in the Israeli Defense Forces’ Intelligence Corps, where he received the Intelligence Innovation Award.
In addition to his role at THM, Halperin is a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, a lecturer at Tel Aviv University, and Chairman of the Board at EyeControl.
He holds an MSc in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from MIT, where he researched globally dispersed teams. He has also taught economics and entrepreneurship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Halperin is the inventor of 34 U.S. patents.
