
Chairman, Innovation BaseCamp, Israel
Uzy Zwebner is a co-founder and former project manager of the Advanced Technologies Park (ATP) in Be'er Sheva and currently serves as a director on the ATP board. He is also the owner of BaseCamp (Negevinn Innovation Center LTD), a company dedicated to establishing and managing innovation centers in Israel and high-tech ecosystems worldwide. BaseCamp’s global activities extend to countries such as Greece (Thessaloniki), Panama, and Brazil.
Zwebner serves as the Chairman of Ibtikar BaseCamp, a unique innovation center within the Arab community.
Earlier in his career, Zwebner held several executive positions in the City of Eilat, beginning as an assistant treasurer, then treasurer and CEO of the Eilat Development Company LTD, and ultimately serving as the city's first general director. During his tenure, Eilat became more attractive to investors following the establishment of a special "Free Trade Zone" law designed specifically for the city.
He also worked as a research assistant to the director of the School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and as an assistant economist at the National Bank of Israel. Additionally, he has provided management and consulting services to government authorities for the economic recovery and development of cities, focusing on high-tech industries, tourism, and economic projects.
Born in Jerusalem, Zwebner now resides in Tel Aviv. During his military service, he was a tank commander in the Israel Defense Forces and participated in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He holds a BA in International Relations and an MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
