Yael Grossman joined the IDF as a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Tel Aviv University. She holds a master's degree in business administration with high honors from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. In 2016-2017, she studied at the National Security IDF College and received a master's degree in national security from the University of Haifa. She was appointed head of the ATID department in the ICT and cyber defense division at the rank of lieutenant colonel, and in June 2020 was appointed commander of MAMRAM. In July 2022, she was appointed as the commander of the LOTEM technological-operational unit and ICT division in the IT and defense division of the SVR and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. In May 2023 she began serving as commander of LOTEM.
