Nadav Zafrir is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Team8, a unique venture creation and venture investing group. Team8 builds and invests at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Data, AI, Fintech, and Digital Health. His focus lies on driving global growth for Team8 and is the architect of its relationships across the business, academic, and technology worlds.
Zafrir brings more than 30 years of operational and business experience. During his distinguished tenure in the Israel Defense Forces, he culminated his career as the commander of Israel’s elite military intelligence Unit 8200, where he established the Israel Defense Force’s Cyber Command. Unit 8200 is recognized as a de facto talent incubator for the nation’s renowned cybersecurity and tech industry.
Leveraging his unique experience, Zafrir advises Fortune 500 companies, C-suite executives, and boards, and is frequently invited to speak at various global forums. Among his external board positions, Zafrir serves as Chairman of SolarEdge and Vice Chairman of Istari. Within Team8's portfolio, he serves as the Chairman at Claroty and holds board memberships at Gem Security, Ox Security, Vena Security, and Sygnia. He is also a board advisor at Duality.
Zafrir graduated with an LLB from Reichman University and holds an MBA from the Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA program at Tel Aviv University. Born in Kiryat Anavim near Jerusalem, Zafrir grew up in Latin America before returning to Israel at 18 to enlist in the military.
