Executive Director for Intelligence & Threat Assessment at the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), Mr. Schein leads and directs operative efforts within the INCD, responsible for providing quality and relevant intelligence, preparing Israel for cyber crises, examining the state of national cyber resilience, and managing distributed defense efforts.
Mr. Schein joined the INCD after establishing the Cyber Division in the Ministry of Energy in Israel, where he also established a research laboratory for industrial control systems (PLC) and advanced monitoring systems for cyber security of critical infrastructures. Previously, he served in several roles within the Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency, ISA) and before that as a diplomat in Norway, Austria, and Egypt.
Mr. Schein holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and a master's in emergency and disaster management, in addition to various certifications in cybersecurity, SCADA security, electronics, and physical security.
