Ruth Shoham is the CEO of the Open University of Israel. Before her current role, she served as Senior Head of Division in the Israel National Cyber Directorate, where she was responsible for Strategy and Partnerships. From 2012 to 2017, she worked for IBM, where she initiated and established the global IBM Cyber Security Centre of Excellence and led IBM’s business group responsible for establishing the technology of the Israeli CERT.
Before her tenure at IBM, until 2010, Shoham served in the IDF, attaining the rank of colonel. During her time in the IDF, she headed the Technological Intelligence Units Relocation Program and served as the head of the Planning Branch of Unit 8200.
