Oren Butchmits, CTO, Technology Unit, Israeli National Cyber Directorate (INCD), Israel
Butchmits is the CTO of the Technology Unit within the INCD, and an overall technology enthusiast. He has been active in the high-tech industry for the past 25 years in various domains, including software development, cloud, AI, telco, satellite, mobile, and e-commerce.
Before joining the INCD, Butchmits worked for five years as deputy director of enforcement in the Privacy Protection Authority, a regulator within the Israeli MOJ, where he conducted large-scale cybercrime investigations, utilizing various computer forensics methodologies. Earlier, he worked in various high-tech companies, large enterprises, and startups, mostly in designing the next-generation product line. Butchmits holds a B.S.C. in computer science & operational research and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University’s executive program.
