Sanaz Yashar is the Co-Founder and CEO of Zafran Security, a cybersecurity startup offering a groundbreaking risk & mitigation platform to enterprises. Prior to Zafran, she served as a senior manager at Mandiant (Acquired by Google), where she led critical global investigations in collaboration with government agencies to uncover advanced threats and provided hands-on hunting and remediation recommendations.
Before her tenure at Mandiant, Yashar held the position of Director of Threat Intelligence at Cybereason, an Israeli cybersecurity company. Leveraging over 15 years of experience within the elite 8200 unit of the Israel Defense Forces, she specialized in communications, intelligence, cryptography, and diverse cyber operations. Yashar attained the rank of major in the IDF and was also recognized as a Personal Excellency of the Intelligence Directorate.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Yashar fled to Israel, where she earned her bachelor of science from Tel Aviv University.
