Chairman, Innovation BaseCamp, Israel

Co-founder and former Project Manager of the Advanced Technologies Park (ATP), Zwebner is part of the founding group and a private shareholder in the private-public partnership initiative of developing the ATP in Beer Sheva, Israel. The ATP includes more than 2,000,000 square feet of building rights planned to serve hundreds of companies from around the world and 10,000 high-tech employees, alongside Israel’s elite technology and cyber forces. Total investment in the coming years will come up to more than $250 million. Currently, Zwebner serves as a Director on the ATP board, taking part in strategic management and many other aspects.

Mr. Zwebner's fully-owned company, BaseCamp (Negevinn Innovation Center LTD), is involved in creating new high-tech ecosystems around the world. BaseCamp is an active entrepreneurship platform, constantly scouting for high-potential locations to develop innovation ecosystems based on MNCs, local companies, and academic breakthrough research, mainly focused on HLS, IoT, AI, robotics, cyber fields, automotive technologies, AR, and VR. 

Zwebner holds a BA in International Relations and an MBA from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Between 1981 and 1994, he served in several executive positions at the City of Eilat, ending his tenure as the first General Director of the city. Since 1994, he has been involved in the creation and development of projects and initiatives from their very early stages of visions and ideas, until they became real and operative.

One of Zwebner's unique recent entrepreneurship activities is to create a new high-tech park in an Israeli Arab city, to increase the involvement of Israeli Arab citizens in the developing high-tech industry. Zwebner serves as the Chairman of the Real Estate, Finance, and Investment Committee of Maccabi World Union and as the Chairman of the Board of Kfar Hamaccabiah Hotel and Conference Center. From 2001 to 2005, Zwebner served as Chairman of the Maccabi World Games, the third-largest international sports event in the world.
