Greta Monika Tučkutė, Deputy Minister, Ministry of National Defence, Lithuania
Greta Monika Tučkutė serves as the Deputy Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania. Her areas of responsibility include defence procurement and cyber security policy. Previously, she spent over two years as an advisor in NATO’s Human Security Unit within the Office of Secretary-General. Before her tenure at NATO, Tučkutė served as a political advisor to the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2005, she established an independent think tank, the Centre for Geopolitical Studies, which focused on defence and security policy issues, geopolitical analysis, and energy security matters. Ms. Tučkutė ran the centre for more than ten years.
From 2011 to 2013, Ms. Tučkutė served as the sales and marketing manager at an ammunition factory based in Lithuania. She is the author of several analytical publications and initiated public discussions on the most relevant security policy challenges and topics.
