Yosi Shneck, CEO & Founder of YSICONS (2019), previously served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Israel Electric (IEC). He provides consulting services to boards and C-level management in cyber, IT & OT systems, critical infrastructures, and electric utilities. He has been actively involved in cyber entrepreneurship and business development at IEC, overseeing R&D, cyber product and service development, as well as supporting the IEC's cyber unit, marketing, and deployment worldwide.
For over fifteen years, Shneck has led R&D projects and activities in European research programs, including the FP7 and Horizon 2020 programs. He has also served as the Energy and Security Coordinator at the EIS Council and Special Advisor to Commugen.
Mr. Shneck has over 48 years of experience in computer systems and technologies within utilities, including information systems, scientific applications, supercomputing & communication, control systems, infrastructures & architectures, and cyber. In addition to his duties as ITC leader, he was responsible for readying the Israel Electric Corporation against cyber-attack threats in both IT and OT environments. He holds accountability for the cyber activity of supercritical infrastructure and is involved in numerous nationwide and international initiatives in this field.
His previous roles at IEC include Senior Vice President of Information and Communications, Chief Cyber Officer, Head of Information Systems and Communication Division, CIO, Member of the selection committee for an investor in the new communication infrastructure company, Head of the National Communications and Electronics unit, Deputy of the Information Systems and Teleprocessing Division, Head of R&D computer department, Head of Cyber entrepreneurship and business development, and Head of Cybergym steering committee. Mr. Shneck holds a Master of Business Administration (M.A.) and a Bachelor of Computer Sciences (B.A.).
