Alberto Souto de Miranda was born in 1958.
He has a degree in Law (pre-Bologna) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Legal-Economic Sciences, postgraduate in European Law from the Free University of Brussels (1983), postgraduate in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the Classic University of Lisbon (1985) and Master in Legal Sciences (pre-Bologna), European Law, Faculty of Law of the Classic University of Lisbon (1993).
