Loesekrug-Pietri has held leadership positions across private equity, industry, entrepreneurship, and government, including serving as special adviser to the French Minister of Defense. He is currently the Chairman and Scientific Director of the Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI), a precursor to a European advanced research projects agency (ARPA). JEDI brings together over 6,000 leading scientists, startup founders, and industrialists from 30 European countries to accelerate Europe’s leadership in disruptive innovations, focusing on areas such as climate technologies, life sciences, space, oceans, and digital transformation.
Loesekrug-Pietri is a graduate of HEC, the Kennedy School, and the French Higher War College. He is recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a European 40 Under 40 honoree, a reserve Colonel with the French Air & Space Force, and serves on the Innovation Board of the Munich Security Conference and the Advisory Board of the Saarland 3 billion Euro Transformation Fund.
