
Deputy Director General and Head of the Cyber Defense Division, Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), Israel
Nitzan Amar is responsible for the overall management of cybersecurity operations dedicated to protecting Israel's civil cyberspace under the National Cyber Dome Defense Concept, with a focus on critical infrastructure and other essential organizations.
A retired IDF Colonel, Amar served for 30 years in various staff and command positions within the IDF's Ground Forces and General Staff. His roles included Head of the Planning and Organization Department of the C4I and Military Cyber Defense Division, Commander of the National School for C4I & Cyber, and Commander of the Center for Electronic and Spectrum Warfare.
Amar holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben-Gurion University and an M.A. in Business Administration from the Peres Academic Center.
Amar is married and has two children.
