Nati Cohen is a retired brigadier general, former IDF Chief Communication and Information Technology Officer, and former Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Communications. He is currently the active chairman of CyberIL and IBC and holds senior positions in various communication and cyber defense companies.
Cohen is an expert in regulation, project leadership in communication, cyber, and fiber optic infrastructure, as well as the transition to the 5G and IoT era. He led the IDF's digital transformation and the relocation of IT services to the Negev. At the Ministry of Communications, he spearheaded key reforms, including the deployment plan for optical fibers in Israel and the 5G tender. He was also responsible for shaping the cyber protection framework for Israel’s communication sector and establishing the sectoral SOC within the national CERT.
During the Swords of Iron War, Cohen volunteered for extended reserve service, leading the establishment of the network control center, which supported multi-dimensional warfare through digital means.
He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree.
