Brig. Gen. (res.) Rami Efrati has served in the Israel Defense Forces for more than twenty-eight years. He commanded numerous prestigious operational and technological positions in military intelligence and received the Creative Thinking Award from the Director of Military Intelligence. With his many years of experience in anti-terrorism and Intelligence technology, Mr. Efrati is an expert in strategic cyber methods. He is one of the founding members and former Head of the Civilian Division of the Israel National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister's Office, where he played a pivotal role in raising Israel to a leading position in the civilian aspects of global cyber security, and led multi-national companies to open cyber R&D centers in Israel. 
Efrati has leveraged the existential cyber threat to Israel into a unique business opportunity encouraging the development of a large cyber ecosystem supporting hundreds of new cyber-related startups. He is currently involved in international-level strategic projects for cyber security and innovation, focusing on state-of-the-art methods and technologies to identify the key priorities at the right time to ensure governments and companies benefit from cyber security. 
Until recently, Efrati served as the president of Firmitas Cyber Solutions, which he also founded, where he focused on providing a unique technological approach for the security of the mission-critical infrastructure sector and the industrial Internet of Things. He is an Associate at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at Reichman University, Herzliya, where he shares his unique experience in the cyber terror world. 
Efrati is also a guest expert and lecturer at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and a Senior Cyber Fellow at the Yuval Ne'eman Workshop for Science, Technology, and Security, Tel Aviv University. He served the community as a district governor of Lions Clubs International in Israel and was honored with the Ambassador of Goodwill Award.
